Furneaux Riddall & Co Ltd was founded in 1910
by Mr Furneaux and Mr Riddall. They designed and installed
electricity plants in large country houses prior to the
establishment of the National Grid, which led to an interest in
'accumulators' as a means of storing electricity and
their appointment, in 1918, as Exide Battery
Agents. |

The company gradually changed emphasis from electrical
engineering to the distribution of electrical products in the
marine and automotive industries.

the UK specialising in electrical products for these industries.
It is the largest distributor in the UK marine market of VDO, ETA
and Harvey Hubbell. It also imports from countries including
